GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs oncology nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with standard nursing practices. Mixes, prepares and administers chemotherapy. • Prepares equipment and aides physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients. Maintains emergency kits, orders IV pumps and maintains log. • Observes, records and reports patient’s conditions and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medications as directed. • Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Performs triage as necessary. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment. Handles patient telephone calls, providing answers when appropriate. • Maintains and reviews patients records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts test and examination results. Marks appropriate billing codes as needed. • Maintains exam rooms and treatment area for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provides primary care to patients acting as an assistant to physicians in the clinic following established standards and practices. Requires exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. Requires working under stress in emergency situations and during irregular hours. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. • Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed. • Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. • Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing. • Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principals of prevention. • Administers medications and injections according to physician direction. • Hospital rounding as requested. Writes appropriate inpatient notes. • Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. • Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education. • Maintains and reviews patients records, charts, and other pertinent information. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, monitors patients while administering ionizing radiation following prescribed parameters; responsible for proper operation of equipment and accessories: enters information into database. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: • Localizes, simulates, and verifies treatment of patients following prescribed parameters. • Delivers ionizing radiation to patients, following prescribed treatment plan. Observe quality assurance procedures, record dosage and other relevant details on the patients’ record sheets. • Monitors patients receiving ionizing radiation recognizing and responding to any unusual reaction; explains to patients the treatment procedures and reinforces the advice given regarding radiation reactions and their care. • Responsible for proper operation of treatment equipment and accessories; performs quality control procedures of equipment; maintains a clean environment. • Maintains certification through continuing education and professional development. • Work with students allocated from Weber State University in clinical competencies as necessary. (For Chief and Senior Therapists only). • Call for maintenance and repair of equipment as needed. • Identifies patients needing to be seen by the doctor for weekly check-ups or symptoms requiring medical attention. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: CERTIFICATE/LICENSE REQUIRMENTS: Current certification in Radiation Therapy with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT). State license in Radiation Therapy Technology. CPR certification.

Under general supervision, monitors patients while performing diagnostic CT studies and assisting in CT simulations; responsible for proper operation of equipment and accessories: enters information into database. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: May include any and/or all of the following: 1. Localizes, simulates, and verifies treatment of patients following prescribed parameters. 2. Performs diagnostic CT’s following prescribed protocols using IV contrast. 3. Monitors patients receiving IV contrast, recognizing and responding to any unusual reaction; explains to patients the CT procedures. 4. Responsible for proper operation of treatment equipment and accessories; performs quality control procedures of equipment; maintains a clean environment. 5. Maintains certification through continuing education and professional development. 6. Work with students allocated from Weber State University in clinical competencies as necessary. 7. Call for maintenance and repair of equipment as needed. 8. Orders and maintains contrast to be used for diagnostic studies, i.e. IV and oral/rectal contrast 9. Starts and monitors IV’s as needed. JOB TITLE:   Accounts Specialist

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position is part of a team that is responsible for collecting and monitoring patient accounts that are assigned by insurance. Duties may include phone calls being made to the insurance company and/or patient to resolve denials. Incoming customer service calls will be included in daily responsibilities. The Accounts Receivable Team should strive for expertise in insurance reimbursement and establish open communication with third party payors. This position may require specialization in areas such as drug reimbursement, refunds, Federal Billing Compliance, etc. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work insurance denials from EOBONE (electronic reimbursement system) and monthly AR reports generated by Billing Manager. • Creating appeals with supporting documentation to send to insurance. • Resolve credit balances on accounts by processing refunds if necessary. • Movement of unapplied co-pays to appropriate date of service. • Answering of incoming customer service phone calls. • Direct/Indirect communication with patient advocates. • Keep current on billing and compliance through current publications and pertinent insurance/billing seminars and/or workshops. • Correspondence • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Understand of medical billing process and insurance reimbursement, including knowledge of explanations of benefits. Ability to work independently or within a team. JOB TITLE:   Clinical Research Billing Coordinator

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position is responsible for the billing/ accounts receivable functions associated with the clinical research program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provides final review (scrubbing) of all outgoing billable items on all research patients to ensure accurate billing identifiers are in place • Ensures that billable items that are study specific are not billed to insurance carriers. • Maintains an accurate patient list of all Utah Cancer patients including the cooperative research populations. • Generates invoices to sponsors for work done, reconciles each trial with the oversight of the Research Director. • Maintains spreadsheets to accurately reflect incoming and outgoing monies for each clinical trial. • As time permits will work with Regulatory Coordinator to ensure timely filing and reporting of all regulatory documents • As time permits working with Research Coordinator to assure the accuracy and availability of study drug and laboratory kits for all clinical studies. • Duties as assigned by Director of Research. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Ability to work independently or within a team. Excellent communication skills and strong orientation to detail. Medical billing and accounting experience preferred. TYPICAL PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires sitting for long periods of time, working in an office environment. Manual dexterity requires for use of calculator and computer keyboard.
