Quality of Life and Support Services

Being told about a new cancer diagnosis and possible toxic treatments will create new stresses for you and your loved ones. Utah Cancer Specialists offers a supportive care and rehabilitative medicine program that focuses on your quality of life as you and your family face the challenges associated with cancer.

Your Office Visits

We encourage you to bring a family member or friend during your visits to our office.

Your First Visit

Please plan two hours for your first visit and bring your insurance cards. This allows time for you to register with our reception staff. You will also meet your Patient Advocate who will acquaint you with your medical team and review your insurance coverage.

Patient Advocates

A unique aspect of our practice, patient advocates work directly with each patient throughout their treatment to assure continuity of care and full coordination of insurance benefits and resources. They coordinate your treatments, complementary therapies and insurance coverage. Where necessary, they also help arrange financial assistance, emotional support and education for patients and their families.

Follow-Up Visits

After your first appointment follow-up visits will usually be under an hour. Please notify the receptionist of your address, phone number or insurance coverage changes during the course of your treatment. If you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please notify the office so that we can accommodate other patients.
