Belisario Arango received his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, graduating with high honors. After completing medical school, Dr. Arango dedicated two years to cancer research at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, focusing on molecular pathways for tumor growth and the pathophysiology of iron metabolism. He then completed Internal Medicine residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he was recognized and awarded the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award. Dr. Arango completed a hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, FL. Dr. Arango is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the Society of Utah Medical Oncologists (SUMO). He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology.
