Dr. Garner received a pharmacy degree from the University of Utah and a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City Utah. He completed his residency at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins Colorado. Dr. Garner is a local and national speaker on symptom and pain management for cancer patients. He has attained Fellow status with the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine (FAAHPM) and is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine with the American Academy of Family Practice.
